Over time you’ve more than likely installed more programs, updated programs, or installed more software. This can lead to fading performance as more programs require more RAM to successfully operate the software on your computer. That may not be the only the only reason for loss of performance, but a major contributing factor for sure.

Find a system scanner and download it not all registry cleaners are created equally and you don’t just need a registry cleaner to check your computer. Make sure that what you use has a back up function just in case something goes wrong or there is a power failure so it can easily be restored.
Uninstall unneeded or unused programs.
Unneeded software programs and applications are often running in the background. These are using up valuable memory and taking up space on your hard drive. Take a little time to look at add and remove programs in the control panel and delete unnecessary and unused programs from your computer to prevent your computer running slow.
Go to Start>Control Panel> add remove programs, and delete programs from your hard drive that you never or seldom use. I’m sure you’ll find several factory installed programs that are of no value to you and can be deleted from the hard drive freeing up valuable hard drive space. Malware, spyware, Trojans, viruses and bonnets. Whatever you want to call them. If your computer is infected in any way it can at the very least slow it down.
